Decision on future of South Tucson, Ariz., police chief, 10 others, on hold.

Jun. 22--A decision on the fate of South Tucson's police chief, and 10 other department heads, has been delayed for 90 days.

City Manager Fernando Castro surprised City Council members and others attending a meeting last night when he asked for a 90-day extension to review the performance of each department head.

He said he would give the council a report so it could make an "informed decision" about whether to reappoint the department heads, including Police Chief Sixto Molina.
