Boston U. 5 St. Cloud 3 ALBANY -- Just like the live pigeon that made repeated dives across the Pepsi Arena ice, nobody found a way to cage a pair of flyers from Boston University.
Early raids into St. Cloud State territory by Carl Corazzini and Jack Baker proved lethal Saturday afternoon. When the Terrier terrors each popped in goals before the game was 10 minutes old, the nervous Huskies were in trouble.
They never did fully recover, enabling BU to claim an eventual 5-3 victory in an NCAA Division I East Regional hockey game.
The third-seeded Terriers will face No. 2 St. Lawrence at noon today. The winner advances to the Frozen Four on April 6 and 8 in Providence.
At times, Corazzini and Baker appeared faster than the bird overhead as they eluded St. Cloud State defenders time after time. …
